Even though flying is safe, some people are apprehensive about flying.
Telling people about the statistical aspects of flying often does not help.
The fear of being in a plane is a human issue, and it is very common. The
path to over-coming anxiety is different for everyone. I tackle the issue
with a few basic steps.
1) Be open and upfront about your fears
2) Take things one step at a time
3) Use education and knowledge
4) Be active with safety
Communication is the key. Working with your instructor can turn the fear
of flying to the thrill and freedom of flying.
